Definition
The Global Monitor Check (GMC) is a database search that helps organizations better protect their work environments. In particular, the GMC can help companies comply with US Patriot Act requirements, industry-specific obligations and regulations that prohibit business with prohibited parties. The Global Monitor Check includes the most common lists from various US agencies, as well as international sources.

The GMC is recommended for companies required to comply with the US Patriot Act such as defense and aerospace organizations in addition to other industries which may have access to highly sensitive or proprietary data and or technologies.

These individuals and entities may represent a threat to global and national security and in most cases cannot legally be employed. Consultation with qualified legal counsel is recommended.
