While state criminal searches can add value, the amount and quality of information provided may vary by jurisdiction. For example, some states offer access to all jurisdictions reporting all convictions with daily updates whereas some state repositories do not include every county or update their records on a regular basis. Additionally, California does not have a statewide search available for employment purposes at this time.
